How much food do we need for a cocktail party?
It depends on whether the party replaces a meal or precedes one. For a reception running two hours or more in place of dinner we plan a fuller selection of passed items and stations; for a shorter gathering before a dinner, a lighter selection works. We will recommend quantities for your timing and guest count.
Do you provide bartenders and a full bar?
Yes. We provide professional bar staff and build the beverage program with the menu. Bar charges are based on consumption, so you are only billed for what your guests drink.
Can you create a signature cocktail for our event?
Yes. We regularly design signature cocktails to match the occasion, the season or a theme, and can pair them with the passed items and stations so the food and drink work together.
What venues suit a cocktail party?
Cocktail receptions work well in rooms that encourage movement, such as galleries, lofts, museums, rooftops and historic spaces. We work at a wide range of these across Boston and can suggest venues that fit your guest count and the atmosphere you want.
What does a cocktail party cost per person?
Pricing depends far more on service style than on the occasion. As a general guide, drop-off catering starts around $25 per person, a staffed buffet begins around $75 per person, and a fully staffed plated dinner with bar service can reach $250 or more per person once menu complexity, staffing, rentals and venue are taken into account. We build a detailed proposal once we know your date, guest count, venue and service style.
